Work was much harder in the 1980s

Anthony Yeomans has sent us these photos of his first week at work for Harlaxton Road-based roofers Arthur Syddall.

As you can see, it was really hard work!!!

    Used to know a couple of blokes who worked there in the early 70s
    Terry and Barry Oakes a couple of real grafters. They could strip and recover a pair of semis’ like the best of them

    Hello, @ The Thinker says: I knew Barry and Terry from when I worked across the road from The Isac Newton, Grantham Road Services I was in the Workshops therefrom 1968 to 1977 I did not meet them at all in my brief time at Arthur Sydalls. Tony.
