The Shirley Croft Hotel one of the features of Grantham I always thought it would be there for ever, just goes to show how wrong you can be
I bet my old friend and former playmate Greeves has a tale or two to tell about life at the Shirley Croft but can’t get him on here these days perhaps he’s lost interest in Grantham, Peraps he’s just laying low until the right moment who knows what goes on in the old boys head cos I certainly don’t 😂😂

My Wife and I had our wedding reception there in 1987. It used to be a great place to go for a quiet drink on an evening. Sadly missed now it has gone.

Was it John Lax who used to own it? He taught me economics at Grantham College many years ago.
