The Thinker says
Finefare seemed to satisfy people’s needs those days, long before the likes of Asda, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s took over the town and decimated the place. why does the council remain so short sighted about such developments, the town is hardly recognisable, you only have to walk on London road to see the same old stores you can see in any town up and down the land, selling the same old rubbish, then the public moan and whinge and say”where have all the shops gone” Grantham was well served with Finefare, Key Markets, and a small Tesco what more did it require? but the council had other ideas and lo! and behold! it makes plenty of money from business rates-so that’s ok then! The council was short sighted then and it’s still short sighted today!
