Seeing John Bailey in the photo brought back painful memories of my time at the Kings School:) Probably around 1958, I would be about 11 less than 5 feet tall and John Bailey, a prefect, about 18 years old and a giant at over 6 feet. He dragged me off the Quad one mid morning break into a room in the main school and with one of his large plimsolls gave me 3 of the best on my backside. Never sure why, probably some minor misdemeanor.
I heard later that he joined the priesthood, I hope he was able to forgive himself for the beating he gave me:)
