Going by the name on the photo G.Hackney it looks as if he started his career as a baker as an assistant baker at 29 Swinegate Grantham working for John Johnson(Baker/Confectioner) and family as per 1901 census.But this is not Johnsons shop as far as I can tell.Do you know approx year it was taken?

He owned his own Baker/Confectioner/Cafe with wife and family in 1930s 29 Thwaite Street ,Haltemprice UD in Yorks East Riding.where this photo was proberbly taken.
