My lovely ex wife’ & fantastic Mum!Carole, has lots of other photo’s we took up there! I will send some through my bits as I go along! ! (bet suspense killing you ha ha) was a privilege to have lived & not really appreciated “Beacon Cottage” Top of Halls hill! In our day no electric & used to drink spring water ha ha! We had to pump water from underground “man made Wells” yeh’ hand pump! many of my old mates that used to visit done some Watter Pumpin” & us enjoy “rattlin” about the fields up there on old motorbikes & cars! What a fantastic upbringing really? Ha ha! 1st old bike a BSA bantam! with Aerial colt forks?? be a fortune now! Then an old 600 Aerial bought off Malcolm Corradine! his first book he ran! I paid him weekly! ha ha £12.00′ I worked for Peter Eaton on a paper round ha ha! I did Houghton Road run! I never got Aerial going properly? Could now ! A very special old mate! Peter Railton got it going for me! I was mates with his younger brother Colin! Hey Pete & Cheryl &Colin had great Mum & Dad! Mummy Railton so so small bless that lady (adored her) she was little when I was 12′ bless her! ! & Dad “Ginge” ha ha huge” we talkin “macho man” ex Para! & scary but great if you was in line with him! loved him! ! Great days & very good memories!!! Tell yer! main down thing is! I never ever appreciated how great it was! & it rely was yer know!
