THE Royal Navy held and exhibition in Stonebridge Close in 1954 with a giant model of aircraft carrier Triumph. It was a big hit with the children. In the background is Pidcock’s Maltings which until it was demolished in 1966, ran the length of Welham Street from Avenue Road to East Street.
