There is still time for candidates to apply to stand in the upcoming local elections.
The countdown to polling day for South Kesteven District Council – plus parish and town councils – is now well under way, with a deadline for prospective candidates of 4pm on Tuesday April 4th.
Completed nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the SKDC offices in Grantham, so an appointment should be made with the elections team.
They are available to informally check nomination papers ahead of submission so anyone who wishes to make an appointment should email nominations@southkesteven.gov.uk.

Chief Executive and Returning Officer for the District, Karen Bradford, said: “Our Elections staff are here to help anyone wishing to become a candidate for a seat on South Kesteven District Council or one of the parish or town councils.
“Do get in touch and the elections staff will do what they can to make the process straightforward.
“Please note that completed nomination papers must be delivered by hand; nomination papers received by post cannot be accepted.”
Nomination packs, details of the process, the election timetable as well as matters relating to voting and campaigning, can be found online at southkesteven.gov.uk/elections2023
Completed nomination papers for District, Parish and Town Council elections must be subscribed by a proposer and seconder who must be registered as local government electors within the relevant ward or parish area.
The period for delivery of nomination papers for the District, Parish and Town Council elections runs through to 4pm on Tuesday 4 April.
