Man in his sixties attacked at home – update

June 7, 2015 by Grantham Matters Leave a Comment

A MAN  in his sixties was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, just after midnight on Saturday morning with a neck injury.

It happened at his home on Earlesfield as he fought off intruders, believed to be four of them.

He was discharged from hospital the following day.

A police spokesman said: “We were notified of a disturbance at an address in Colne Court, Grantham, not long after midnight on Saturday 6th June in which a man was injured. He was taken to hospital for treatment and released a short time later.

“We have launched an investigation into this incident and are carrying out a number of inquiries to try and identify the offender or offenders.

“We believe this was an isolated incident and we would like to hear from anyone who may have any information that might assist the inquiry.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 9 of 06/06/2015. Or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
