December 31, 2014 Leave a Comment

The search for missing 83-year-old Jack Foster, known as Derek Foster, is continuing today (Wednesday 31stDecember)Derek Foster after he went missing last week. Police have today issued an updated photograph of Mr Foster wearing a pair of superimposed eyeglasses as he would almost always wear a pair similar to those shown.

It is hoped the updated photograph may jog the memories of some members of the public who may have seen a man resembling Mr Foster in the last week.derek foster

A number of officers are dedicated to the search and they have been carrying out enquiries in a number of areas, including those where Mr Foster was last seen. Police are still appealing to the public to get in touch if they may have seen a man matching Mr Foster’s description recently or over the last few days.

He was last seen when he left Grantham Hospital on Tuesday 23rd December after treatment for a fractured shoulder. He left the hospital following an out-patient appointment and was supposed to go his home in Lilley Street, Long Bennington, but he has never arrived.

When he left hospital he was wearing a dark brown overcoat, dark trousers and shoes. He is described as a white man, with grey receeding hair, glasses, of slim build. He has a fractured left shoulder which means his left arm is incapacitated and he cannot move it.  He has a distinctive gait due to his arm and his walk is described as a ‘shuffle’.

If you have seen Mr Foster or a man matching his description please contact Lincolnshire Police as soon as possible on the non-emergency number 101.
