A new study has revealed the UK’s top 10 with the least green residents and five are in Lincolnshire.
The team at DriveElectric has looked at the number of green spaces, electric vehicles, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and other factors to reveal the UK’s greenest areas, as well as the least green areas.

The research also revealed the following:
- Residents of Richmond upon Thames have been crowned the greenest in the UK after receiving an overall score of 8.64 out of 10.
- Producing 2.1 tonnes of CO2 emissions per capita, Hackney’s CO2 emissions are the lowest in the UK.
- With 893 public charging devices for electric vehicles per 100,000 people, Westminster has more charging devices than any other UK area.
- Birmingham has been named the UK area with the highest energy consumption at 3,764.4 GWh. In comparison, the Orkney Islands’ energy consumption is the lowest in the UK at 138.5 GWh.
