Travellers was set up caravan camp at a former factory in Grantham have been evicted.
Residents in the area reported they began arriving on Friday at the Springfield Road site, formerly occupied by Baird’s Malt. They said children were running about playing.
Although the maltings closed nearly three years ago, the buildings remain in place.
A police spokesman said: “A group of travellers arrived and set up camp in private land at Springfield Road on Friday. The landowners hired bailiffs to move them along through civil proceedings.
“Officers attended the site to engage with both parties and the site is now clear.
“We will continue to work with the site owners to provided security advice.”
The eviction took place on Wednesday.
