Plans for 4,000 homes to be built on the edge of Grantham, have been submitted for opinions to the district council.
They will be on the site of Prince William of Gloucester Barracks, due to close in 2024.
Listed building the officers’ mess will be converted to residentials, and three new schools will be built on the site, together with shops and a GP surgery.
Opposite the Site, to the south of the A52, is the Spittlegate Heath Garden Village. This development comprises 3700 homes. South Kesteven District Council have resolved to approve the outline planning application for this development, and, subject to finalising the s106 agreement, it is anticipated that planning permission will be issued later this year.
