The registered charity, which is based in St Martin’s Lane, Lincoln is seeking an individual with financial experience who can provide strategic financial leadership to the organisation.
Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE, Chief Executive of soundLINCS, said this is a rare opportunity for someone to play a major part in soundLINCS, overseeing the financial accounts, budget and financial matters.
“In these challenging times, we know there has never been a time where the importance of Community Music is needed more and are looking to continue supporting and developing increased empowerment and innovation in community music. We want to appoint someone who is keen to help us to shape our future direction to build on soundLINCS excellent reputation within the music sector,” she said.
“We have a really strong team of trustees who are doing a marvellous job and this new trustee role will be pivotal within the Board”.
“As a not-for-profit community music organisation unleashing potential through music, we receive no regular public funding and rely solely on public donations, grants and any income we can generate, which makes this financial role particularly vital.”
The successful candidate will assist in the responsibility and oversight of running the charity, complying with the Charity’s governing document and the law.
The Treasurer will work closely with the Chair of Trustees and the CEO to provide strategic direction, and will ensure the financial stability of soundLINCS, ensuring the proper investment of all funds.
soundLINCS began in 1998, and over the last 25 years has built a national reputation for delivery and training work around Musical Inclusion, working closely with participants and staff across a wide range of strands, including early years, looked after children, youth justice services, hospitals, young parents, special education needs, older adults, rural isolation, health and wellbeing and heritage.
