Patching and resurfacing will be carried out on a number of Grantham roads this week.
They’re part of an ongoing county-wide resurfacing programme lasting 15 weeks, funded by the Department of Transport.
Area Highways Manager Mark Heaton said: “These works will improve the surface of the road, extending its life for many years. It’s possible there may be some disruption to traffic, but this will only be for a short period time and residents and pedestrians will still have access wherever possible.
“We’d thank you for your patience while this resurfacing is completed.”
The schedule for the repairs is as follows:
Wednesday 15 October: Welham Street, north and south will be closed and two-way traffic lights will be in place on Avenue Road.
Also traffic controls near Morrison’s car park on Wharf Road for two weeks and eight weeks work on eastern Springfield Road including the railway bridge.
Thursday 16 October: Larch Close will be closed and access to properties may be temporarily disrupted.
Friday 17 – Tuesday 21 October: High Street Ropsley will be closed and access to properties may be temporarily disrupted.
Monday 27 October: The Avenue, off Dysart Road, will be closed for one day.
