Grantham Road Services depot, Harlaxton Road in 1972
Brian Overbury-Crowther recalls that many years ago a transport firm of some note existed on the corner of Trent Road and Harlaxton Road called Grantham Road Services.
Originally it was part of ther nationalised BRS
It was a well established Grantham transport company serving Grantham companies and transport requirements further afield.
He says: “I have found impossible to locate any photographs of the vehicles or personal accounts of any old members of staff who once worked for GRS as it was affectionately known.
“I worked for GRS in the very early 1970s and remember the company and workforce with much affection “
