I thought it was running spring water rather than a brook. We used to drink it. The swimming pool was to the right where The King’s
School held their swimming sports because it was 25 yards long, Wyndham pool was kidney shaped. I think the caretakers of both pools used to fib about the water temperature.
The water was left a red iron deposit !
