THE over 50s will be back in business next week, as the battle against the pandemic gathers strength.

The Walking Football sessions, introduced by Ian ‘Pugsy Parker’ are returning to the Meres Leisure Centre following more than a year’s shutdown.

Mr Parker said: “I’ve been trying to get it back for a few weeks. Now everything is set to go.”

Unfortunately, he will not be playing.

The Wednesday sessions between 5-6pm begin on Wednesday 11th at £3 per session.

It is open to men and women over-50, with no upper-age limit., but preferrably double-jabbed.
