From personal experiences and a passion to support our community, The Hub Grantham was created.
The Hub, working in partnership with The Upper Room in Grantham (Charity Number 1188448), provides a safe area for those experiencing difficulties with their mental health to talk 1-1, as part of a group, or engage in wellbeing activities such as crafts, and music.
The Hub is a place to offer Peer Support – to bridge the gap between applying for help from professional services and receiving support (which can often take a number of months), or to support those who do not feel ready to take the next step in to utilising a professional service.
We will support all individuals within our capabilities and experience for as long as they require it, however we will always accompany peer support with resources and availability of professional services.
We have a physical base at The Upper Room, based in the Market Place in Grantham. It is our aim to in time have this space open for continual drop in support. At present, 1-1 meetings need to be organised beforehand to make sure a member of the team is available to support you. Phone and e-mail support however will be available.
Group sessions will be organised and future plans for activities such as music, arts, crafts etc will be organised based upon Covid Restrictions.
We are lucky to have three admin team members qualified, or soon to be qualified in Mental Health areas, with all of the admin team having a special interest in, and some personal experiences in mental health.
We would be really grateful if you could please follow and support us on facebook at “The Hub – Grantham”. If anyone has any questions or would like to get in touch please email me on lks101@hotmail.com
