Grantham’s own Oscar Hewitt has now completed his second film as a company ‘Saving Penelope’, and is are holding a screening again at the Grantham Savoy next Sunday (14th April, 7pm).
It is such a pleasure to share the films I make in the town I grew up in, and with 100 people at the last screening, we’re looking to promote this one as much as possible to let the local community know about this event to hopefully get a similar turnout.
The film is about ‘Four lifelong friends embark on a daring heist to steal back a precious tamagotchi from their childhood nemesis.’
A crime comedy caper produced, edited and starring Grantham-born filmmaker/actor Oscar Hewitt who says: “Since moving to London to pursue filmmaking, I’ve been working hard to carve out a path for myself as someone from Grantham with no connections in the industry.
“My love and passion for film has led me to create this production company, and it is always a joy to share my work in the town I grew up in, with the community that supported and believed in me all those years ago.”
