Local charity receives almost £30K funding for new defibrillators.

An emergency response charity based in Lincolnshire has been awarded funding by leading food company Moy Park. LIVES provide a rapid response service for emergencies in local communities, with responders carrying their own defibrillator so that they are ready to attend medical emergencies as needed and deliver immediate lifesaving care.

The group previously received funding from Moy Park back in 2020 following the launch of Moy Park’s Community Support Fund to help support local groups and organisations throughout the pandemic. The donation has helped the group to support its work in Grantham and surrounding areas by purchasing 10 new defibrillators.

LIVES has now received further funding to support their work in the Anwick area, allowing them to purchase 17 new defibrillators for its responders and bringing the overall amount of funding received from Moy Park to just under £30,000. Moy Park staff have also received training from LIVES to use defibrillators correctly in an emergency.

Commenting on the support received from Moy Park, Nikki Cooke, Chief Executive at LIVES said:

“The funding that Moy Park has given us has allowed us to purchase new emergency defibrillators, meaning our responders have the latest equipment when they respond to emergencies in our local communities. We can now deliver lifesaving emergency care across the Sleaford and Grantham communities thanks to generosity of Moy Park.”
