Who did you know on this school photo?

October 12, 2017 1 Comment

THESE smart young children were at Denton School in 1931-32.
It was brought in by Jack Swain, of Knipton, who started at the school a couple of years later.
The school is still there and as successful as ever.
They are, from left, back – Margaret Crossland, Betty Lynn, Joan Parkin, Nelly Bullimore and Joan Robinson; second row – Phyllis Doughty, Marjorie Higgins, Don Shelbourne, Jack Johnson, Doreen Scoffield, Ken Jones and Jack Scoffield; third row – Maisy Podem, Elsie Everton, Ivan Brown, Dennis Pearce, Ray Bullimore, Pansy Johnson and Joan Lightfoot; front – Freddie Hooper, Billy Thorold, Tom Bennett, Bert Swain, Arthur Hubbard and John Jackson.
From: Jack Swain
