Leicestershire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the death of Gregory Barnes after a collision on the B676, Melton Mowbray last month.
The collision occurred around 6.40pm on Monday 11 April on the B676 Saxby Road, Melton, about 200m south of the junction with Brentingby and involved two vehicles, a black Ford Fiesta and a silver Ford Mondeo.
The driver of the Fiesta, Gregory Barnes, 18, from Wymondham, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
DC 4484 Alison Ide from the East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The Fiesta was travelling along Saxby Road towards Melton and the Mondeo was travelling in the opposite direction when they were involved in the collision.
“We believe there were other vehicles in the area at the time of the collision and we’d like to speak to anyone who was driving along the B676 during the evening of Monday 11 April.
“We’d particularly like to speak to the drivers of two vehicles which were seen in the area just prior to the collision, an older-shape silver VW Golf and a 15-plate white vehicle described as being similar to a VW Scirocco.
“If you believe you can help trace the occupants of these vehicles or if you were driving in the area please contact the police 101 quoting incident 592 of 11 April.”
