Are you a face in this crowd, or do you know anyone who is?
It was taken in February 1952 on St Peter’s Hill and two weeks apart, the green was packed with people.
On the first ocassion, it was to say good bye to King George VI, the Queen’s father.
But this occasion was a much more jolly affair – although it’s hard to tell from the faces.
They were there to witness the visit of Hollywood stars Laurel and Hardy, in town to open the trades fair.
