Grantham teacher Gaz Bennett plans to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in April by doing a 10km run each day that month.
This entails running 300km in a month, which is about five times more than he would ordinarily run in a month.
The KGGS teacher has chosen this time as April will be 10 years since he was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 28 and wanted to do something positive to raise money.
Mr Bennett, who plays for Grantham Cricket Club, has already completed the national Three Peaks inside 24hours for charity and ran the Great North Run half marathon in September 2019 also for charity.
He has set up a just giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gareth-bennett-10km-a-day-april
