Cameron Chow delivered a very solid performance improving his 100 fly, 400 free, 100 breast, 200 backstroke as well as the 400 IM which Cameron bettered by a very respectful 8 seconds setting new club record.
Caleb Mackey also raced well – in 400 free Caleb improved by 8 seconds, showed good progress in 100 IM and in 200 free he improved by 2 seconds which was enough to set a new club record. A great surprise came from Thomas Lewis who is still unable to train at 100% but swam very well in his 200 free and 200 back where he improved his own time by 3 seconds setting a very good club record.
Eleanor Lythgoe still keeps improving. Eleanor had no competition in 200 and 400 free while improving by fantastic 10 seconds in the 200 and over 2 seconds in the 100. Imogen Raistrick showed strength in 200 IM, 400 free (in both races over 5 seconds improvement) and in 100 backstroke clocking a small personal best.
Lizzie Campbell delivered personal best swims in 100m breaststroke and in 100 IM.
Ella Coleman is enjoying her last days as a 10 year old as she dominated her age group. Her best races were 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. In 400 free Matthew swam a very smart race where he achieved a very good 24 seconds improvement.
Mia Ellis clocked a personal best time in 50 free (going for the first time under 40 seconds), 50 breaststroke, 50 backstroke and 100 IM. Katie Beardsmore swam a few races with 100m breast achieving a big 6 seconds improvement, and 8 seconds im 100 backstroke.
George Berwick achieved small progression in 100 IM and 100m breaststroke, but deliver great race in 100 backstroke where he dropped impressive 34 seconds finishing seconds in his age group.
Billy Reed is gaining more racing experience and swam a very confident 200 IM where he improved by nearly 8 seconds and 50 breaststroke with over a second improvement.
Although Luke Marriott failed to achieve more qualifying times for short course midlands, he still improved slighly his 200 and 400 IM times. Rosie Belcher showed some confidence in her 200 free (nearly 12 seconds improvement) and in 100 fly improving by 7 seconds and winning her first medal! Well done! Amelia Peters swam well in 200 breaststroke improving by over a second and finishing third.
Next chance to improve personal best it will be Club Championships. Well done swimmers!
