The leaves are falling, the nights are pulling in and there is definitely getting to be a chill in the air. Most of us are fortunate that when we have finished work we can go home to a warm house. Not everyone has that luxury though, do they? This year’s Grantham Ark SleepOut will take place from 9:00pm on Friday 3 December to 7:00am Saturday 4 December. Why are they holding a SleepOut? So a homeless person doesn’t have to! The aim of the Grantham Sleepout is to raise awareness of homelessness in Grantham and to support the establishment of an emergency night shelter in Grantham. The Sleepout is hosted by St Wulfram’s Church with representatives from other churches in the town and will be held, by kind permission of the National Trust, in the grounds of Grantham House. The organisers are confident that with your help and participation they can make a real difference to vulnerable people in Grantham. So, will you brave a night in the cold?.
