Grantham church hall holds Coronation party

Children from Edward Street at Wesleyan Chapel rooms celebrating Queen’s Coronation, June 1953. THESE children were in the Wesleyan Chapel rooms, Bridge End Road, in June 1953. They were celebrating the Queen’s Coronation. The children are from Edward Street and shows adult helpers Mrs Bradbury, Mrs Cornell, Mrs Watchorn and Mrs Eatch. Seated on the right hand side of the middle table near the stage are Carol Walker, David Pick, Heather Allison, Jane Bridge, Glennys Allison, Margaret Kempt, Judy Marshall, Mary Gorrin, ?, ? Pick and Malcolm Weavers. Also in the picture are Sandra Ashford, Angela Pick, Malcolm Ashford, Pauline Edwards and Madeline Hallam. It was sent in by Heather McLeavy (nee Allison Heather went to St Anne’s School from January 1945 to July 1951..
