The family of the man who died following a road traffic collision at Wilsford on Friday have paid tribute to him.Kenneth Smith

Formal ID has yet to be carried out but the family of a man known locally as Kenneth Smith, aged in his 60s and from the Sleaford area, have paid tribute to him, saying: “Ken was a well-known man and deeply cared for in his local community. He was a generous soul with a wicked sense of humour and never more happy than when he was helping others, especially through volunteering with LIVES First Responders which he did in every spare moment he had.

“He will be deeply missed by his wife, two daughters and five grandchildren, his brother, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

“The family appreciate all the support they’ve had  from friends and the local community following his sudden and tragic death.”

Police continue to investigate the circumstances involved in a fatal road traffic collision and have renewed the appeal for witnesses.

The incident was called into Lincolnshire Police at 4.40pm on Friday (17th July) having occurred between the Wilsford and South Rauceby junction of the A153 Sleaford Road.

Two vehicles were involved, a dark coloured Vauxhall Astra and a white BMW 5 Series.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to it is asked to contact the Lincolnshire Police Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855 quoting incident 318 of 17/07/2015.
