    I see you were sniffing around trucks way back then, where was the photo taken GRS yard maybe??

    Sniffing about? Left School July 1968 aged 14? Started GRS 9/9 1968 aged 15? Hardly sniffing about it was to be my trade mate! What did you do? I got an apprenticeship’ ONC HNC in light & heavy vehicle engineering! 7 years college mate! All backed up & paid for by Grantham Road Services! & I knew many “shufflers” in my day & Got Rabbits in my back garden? fkin sniffin about? you reckon you worked there! did you know A rabbit & Shuffler?? dont get it matey sorry!

      I knew you as a good mechanic, I think you misunderstand my meaning, as your photo points out you were very young and therefore appear to be very keen in LGVs
      As to Shuffler and The Rabbit, these two gentlemen were drivers at GRS, Shuffler used to drive the old AEC 6 legger and The Rabbit used to drive a Mercury on Seed delivery to Petfoods at Melton, You would have been working in the workshops at the same time .
      As to me and what I did, like you I worked hard and started out as a driver but was determined to better my lot in life so I studied gained my qualifications and specialised in firstly driving tuition and examination and training LGV drivers in the fields of hazardous goods including explosives and radioactives, and anything else LGV related and after gaining a degreeI finished up lecturing in road transport law, running my own company.
      Please don’t think that I was trying to belittle you in anyway, I remember you as. Good VM.

    Yoey??? Who is this fella??? You need to be on here more! I was John Lees! before Perkins? I dont know him! Ansa yer fone???dus yer fkin head?? Reckon he knows me as well??? I not a kin clue & d’nt care ha? See he movin to a seaside! Be my luck he turns up here! Alboro’ definitely buying my place in Netherlands! Movin & gone soon! tat ta!
