Evans Halshaw has announced its first MG car dealership replaced an existing Ford store at Spittlegate Leve, today, 1st of March 2024.
Evans Halshaw MG Grantham will be the first franchise within the business, which was taken over by Lithia UK last month.
Offering the full range of MG cars, including the new MG 4 EV which was crowned Small Electric Car of the Year in January 2024, the store will operate as a Cyberster retailer – MGs new EV sports car – comprising a Cyberster lounge. The site also will be an Authorised Repairer for MG.
Alex Kohn Head of Business for MG Grantham (formally Head of Business for Ford Grantham) said: “We are delighted to bring MG to the Evans Halshaw roster.
“With exciting new models launching in 2024 and an ambition to become the tenth largest brand by volume in the UK this year, it’s a great time to partner with MG.”
The store will remain an Evans Halshaw Ford authorised repair site, so existing customers still have a local place to service their Ford cars and commercial vehicles.
Sales and Motability customers will be offered the opportunity to stay with Ford and will be directed to continue their journey with their nearest Evans Halshaw Ford sites in Lincoln, Bedford and Gainsborough.
The Ford franchise was originally held by Grantham Motor Company, London Road, while the MG franchise was held by its neighbours North Road Garages.
