This week’s BOSS Business Supplies Charity (BBSC) Day raised more than £17,000 ($22,000) towards funding the financial assistance it gives to those who have worked in the UK office supplies industry.
The annual event – which took place at the Belton Woods resort near Grantham – attracted over 100 attendees who took part in the day’s golf and spa activities. These were followed by a buffet dinner and the charity’s now-famous auction and raffle.
Chair Martin Wilde commented: “The charity is so grateful for the support it receives for this event from right across our industry, with companies sending golfers, spa attendees, raffle and auction prizes, and very substantial sponsorship. Thanks to their help – and the help of our Patrons – we can assist even more families this year.”
The BOSS Charity Patrons for 2023 are: Avery, BIC, Brother UK, Fellowes Brands, Highlands, OPI, OT Group, Pukka Pads, Ryman, SC Johnson Professional, Uni Mitsubishi Pencil Company and Viking. The Honorary Patron is BOSS Federation.
Last weekend’s Nemo Office Club conference also provided support to the BBSC. It was the chosen charity for the event, with almost £2,000 raised from group members who purchased tickets for the prize draw.
