Brian ‘Nip’ Morley sadly passed away on the 11th of February 2024 at St Barnabas Hospice aged 81 years. Beloved husband of Lucinda, brother to the late Barry, much loved uncle and friend to many, he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. A local footballer, he began his career at Nottingham Forest, playing in the ‘A’ side, before joining his home team. For the First team he played in the final two league fixtures of the 1963/64 season and scored in the first of those against Gainsborough Trinity. Brian made another two appearances the following season and then had his best run in the First team at the start of the 1965/66 season. After also playing for the Lincolnshire representative side during his time at London Road, moves followed to Stamford Town and Spalding United. A memorial service will be held at 3.30pm on Thursday 7th March 2024, at St Wulfram’s Church, Church Street, Grantham, NG31 6RR followed by a Committal at 4.30pm Grantham Crematorium, Harrowby Road, NG31 9DT There will be a reception Reception from , 5:00pm Belton Park, Grantham, NG31 9SH Family flowers only please.
