Had a good selection of shops offering personal service, a thing that has become as dead as the dinosaur these days.
I was in a large out of town retailer asking for some information on an electrical product which they readily sell, when I asked if it came in another colour as shown on the box all I received in the guise of a reply was “I dunno” the individual could even be bothered to speak correctly.
Bring back the independent retailer.
