In late June, visitors can treat their senses to the visual delights of perfect blooms in stripes, bicolours, picotee, light pastels and deep velvet tones. The dazzling colour and fragrance comes from over 50 sweet pea varieties grown at Easton Walled Gardens.
From highly scented sweet peas, heritage and antique sweet peas to modern varieties and some new trials varieties.
Throughout the garden, roses will be in flower and the meadows provide an exuberant display attracting a variety of insects, mammals and birds amongst the grasses and wildflowers.
After exploring the 12 acres of serene gardens, visitors can take a pitstop at the newly renovated Applestore Tearoom and sample the homemade savoury snacks and cake.
The Courtyard offers a relaxed and spacious shopping experience – browse the plant sales, pop into Lochs & Fens or The Courtyard Shop which stocks a lovely range of homewares, gifts and sweet pea seeds harvested from the gardens.
Admission to the gardens is £8 for adults and £4 for children.
The Gardens are open Wednesdays – Sundays from 11am – 4pm.
