Barrowby Road will shut tonight

The A52 Barrowby Road will be closed overnight, from 10pm tonight 17 December to 6am tomorrow morning. The closure is to allow Network Rail to carry out essential maintenance work on the railway bridge.

A spokesman for Network Rail said, “We need to undertake short-notice but essential maintenance work to the bridge’s deck supports, which can be completed overnight. So the work can be completed on the bridge, and engineers can get full access, the road closure is necessary.”

Drivers are advised to use the A1 from the junction with the A52 and the B1174 Gonerby Moor Road into Grantham and vice versa. Diversion signs will be in place.
