Farmers help fire crews beat field fire
Fire crews from Grantham, Corby Glen, Stamford, Sleaford, Billingborough and Deepings were called to a field fire at Skillington at 8pm yesterday evening. 13 hectares of stuble was ablaze. Crews used for hosereel jets and 10 beaters. They were assisted by local farmers with two ploughs and two telehandlers to extinguish.
