A15 Remains Closed – Silk Willoughby Area

Road closures are still in place today (Thursday 23rd October) on the A15 between Osbournby and Sleaford in the Silk Willoughby and Quarrington area.

It is expected that the road will remain closed for the remainder of today.

The road was closed just after 6.15pm on Sunday following a fire involving 22,000 straw bales  and has to remain closed for the time being as the clean-up operation is still continuing.

Firefighters left the scene yesterday afternoon.

Assessments will be made later today as to when the road can be reopened.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and pay attention to the diversion signs in place.
