Why did no one think about bin collections when they closed our road?

Bit of a vent here at the idiocy that runs our town and county.

The road works on Victoria street and Stamford Street have been planned for a while.  So why is it noone foresaw that the Monday bin collections would be affected as the roadworks are on until June ish.

Why has it taken until the Monday for people to realise there maybe a problem? Why is it taking until Wednesday for a solution to be offered to residents on the streets?

Why was a solution not offered before works began??? 

It’s not like the roadworks were a suprise occurrence or shock and and tactics!

Typical of this town and county where one department can’t communicate to others and where the people in charge lack brain cells to see that such problems will arise!

Even the councils website , which I checked, said collection was the usual day and no mention of any difference. So on the Monday when they realised there was a problem, they still couldn’t be bothered to actually tell the people that this would be a problem for!  You know the people that put their taxes in to pay for the services and the people supposedly to run the council that’s meant to serve its residents. 

They’re proving absolutely pathetic!
