I bet it has not got that “Gordon” touch on the front now! Gordon &his family did some very good work around town on Vans & lorries in the day! & of course shops & pubs! what a legend! what a skill, I been away from “G” now for nearly 20 years’ does much of their work still exist? I would have loved an old door off John Lees Or GRS lorry he painted! or anything off a van what ever! Grantham at its best was that family!

Wakefield’s unit, what a picture of the ability of the sign writer that was, sadly like so many trades/ skills this country had they have faded into non existence.

I think Franks AEC still is doing shows etc! Not sure where’ think its one of a very few left Think I last see it at a show in Derbyshire & spoke to the owner who says he has another V8 engine hoarded away with other spares I just recognised Lincs reg & he wasn’t sure or I dunno? I was sure it was the one Frank had! anyway? he said one or two left in Australia! & that must have been 20 years ago!
