A youth theatre group will perform its latest production over three nights next week. A brand-new show never performed in Grantham before.
Grantham Youth Theatre Society (GYTS) will perform Shrek the Musical at the Walton Academy Theatre for three nights on August 22nd, 23rd and 24th at 7pm.
This award-winning musical brings to life the world of Shrek live on stage in an unforgettable production to melt hearts of all ages.

Jamie Nowell, who is the musical director for the production, says, “The show is really magical and so is our fabulous cast. They’re all working really hard to bring the world of Shrek to life.”
GYTS is an amateur production company run entirely by young people between the ages of 16 and 30.
It offers young people the opportunity to take part in roles, such as producing, directing or choreographing.
After a very successful show last year performing the show ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, they won the NODA award for Best Youth Theatre Production in their district. With the new talent in the cast this year, we are assured that the show is going to be just as much of a hit.
