Carpentry and Bricklaying tutors are delighted for their Grantham College students following their results in the Inter-College Competition for Construction.
Hosted by Stamford College, the event also saw entrants from Boston and Peterborough Regional colleges, as well as a group from Grantham.
In a series of extremely close competitions where the practical skills were of a very high standard, there were some impressive performances from numerous Grantham students.
In carpentry, Jared Hackney achieved first place in the Level 1 competition, while Leon Barr and Joseph Barr-Watson placed second and third respectively in the Level 2 event.
Norbert Wojcik impressed with a second-place finish in the bricklaying competition.
Richard Parkhill, carpentry and joinery lecturer at Grantham College, said he was “extremely proud” of everyone who participated.
He added: “The students are a credit to the Construction department and show our consistency in maintaining the highest quality of standards.”
Mr Parkhill also wished to thank all the staff involved in the organisation of the event.
