Small to medium businesses located in the Greater Lincolnshire area can benefit from a free energy saving workshop that is being led by world renowned leading experts in energy and resource efficiency. |
Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, a programme led by North East Lincolnshire council, has teamed up with the University of Applied Sciences Trier’s Institut fur angewandtes Stroffstrommanagement (IfaS), based in Germany, to help small to medium businesses reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions. This workshop opportunity will enable businesses to gain invaluable knowledge on the latest energy saving technology such as LED lights and solar PV. Topics will also include behavioural change in the work environment and how businesses can implement easy solutions to reduce energy consumption.Helen Norris, Programme Manager for Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, said:“It’s great to be working with IfaS, they bring a wide range of knowledge and expertise to the local area which we can benefit from. Businesses that attend the workshop will learn how to make their buildings energy efficient and save money on their energy bills”“IfaS will enable business to gain unbiased information to help make decisions right for their company”“Their expertise would normally cost thousands of pounds, so we want businesses to take full advantage of this opportunity”The team bring a wealth of experience and have worked on amazing high profile projects all over the world.For eligible businesses they can receive a free onsite audit from IfaS. This will include a tailored energy saving report that will highlight recommendations especially for that business.The Smart Energy programme also offers grant funding to help business invest in energy saving measures. There are two options that are available.
