Work starts on £5m Grantham business park

April 8, 2019 by Grantham Matters 1 Comment

Work on a £5 million business park plan with fast food outlets has begun.

Contractors moved on to the site, on the corner of Trent Road and Harlaxton Road on Friday.

Mill Developments got planning approval in November last, to build a petrol station, drive-through coffee shop, two food outlets and offices. There will  be parking for 133 cars.

The site, known locally as Jack Harris’s field, was previously owned by Grantham Electrical Engineering who no longer need the site.

It is understood 75 jobs will be created.

I bet Kentucky Fried Chicken are pleased, still it will give those individuals who are too bone idle to make a meal at home somewhere else to buy junk food, as if Grantham didn’t have enough junk food outlets…….let’s build more!!!
Are the jobs created paying enough so that the workers can actually afford to buy a house or is it the usual low paid no hope employment these places create.
