Vera Ball, aged 87 and from Spalding, was injured after the Renault Clio she was travelling in as a passenger with her husband John left the road on the A17 at Fulbeck at around 12.25pm on Saturday 27th December.
She was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where her condition deteriorated and she sadly died on January 2nd.
Vera’s husband John, 84, said: “We were married for 58 years and losing her has left a big hole.
“We moved from Peterborough to Spalding in 2008 and we did everything and went everywhere together.
“We really did get on very well. We never bothered with our ages and were never old to one another.
“Vera was very well liked, that’s very clear from all the cards I’ve received, and she was always very friendly and popular. Suddenly her not being here has left a huge gap.”
The details of Vera’s funeral are still be to finalised but Mr Ball has asked that for anyone who wishes to to not send flowers but instead make a donation to the Air Ambulance in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
