A woman was seriously injured and significant delays were caused after a collision occurred on the northbound carriageway of the A1 opposite the Esso Petrol station at Marston.
The collision occurred at around 4.30 pm yesterday (9 July) and involved a silver Renault Clio, a Grand Jeep Cherokee and a Mercedes. The female driver of the Renault Clio was seriously injured and was taken to QMC.
Officers worked tirelessly to deal with the collision and but were unable to open the road safely until 2.30 am. A broken down HGV also required recovery.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have captured the collision on dash cam and would especially like to speak to the driver of an HGV that was travelling northbound, directly behind the RTC when it occurred.
