The Witham burst its banks in Wyndham Park which also reached homes in Belton Lane.
Photos taken shortly before 2pm show a large amount of water in the area covering the road and reaching doorsteps.
The tops of benches and bins can also be seen poking out of the water. Belton Lane has been closed off due to the flooding and a short distance further down the river, Low Road, in Manthorpe, has also been closed off.
A flood warning for the River Witham in Grantham has been in place since early this morning and stated that flooding was expected in the area.
And at the southern end of town, it had a devastating effect on Dudley Road gardens…. (Photos Sue C)
