Wine bar to reopen!

The Eden Wine bar, Market Place, will be reopening the doors soon under new ownership.

Previous owners Chris & Theresa announced on August 18, that it will not open its doors to the public again.

The business, which has been in the town for 18 years, said the coronavirus pandemic had taken its toll and is making it difficult to offer its usual service.

In a follow-up post on August 19, the owners added that they hoped someone would take over the venue and keep it in the same vein.

“Thank you for the overwhelming replies to our closure, your messages of thanks and kind words are greatly appreciated,” they wrote.

The new owners asaid: “Let’s start fresh with a twist..

“Please let us know your thoughts.. what would you like to change and add to the bar, menu, service or anything else. We would like to hear from you Looking forward to welcome you all …. New owners”

The property had been a pub for two centuries, known as The Granby or The Granby Head.
