I was a???? Bit of a regular there when? Scots Guy ran it! He was a good landlord in respect he was typical??? sorta in there & had no issues of “banning” likes of “Manthinker” etc! Haha! Nah he took no £hize! I used to work for “Perkins” in P’boro’ & often dropped in there after’ work’ Train ride home! used to be a few characters in there! now thinkin! Hey! They was Brit: Rail’well! one was “Gaffer” like a foreman? my God eh! Other was??? Come on Grantham you know? sorta nice fella! but’ & a “Butt” of a few jokes? eh? he played the part in the day? ? & A Notts’ Police officer! used to see & “Yoey” in there! when not away? & Wow? Fisherman? he was good lad(Richard???) ! Hey & his Dad? I used to have a pint or two with! &Don Charlton’s? Dad or G’dad! (Sorry Don) he was great loved his stories mate! When? Jeez! who was Scots fella there!( Landlord_-Mrs was Jane) It was good! Totally forgot that place before this ‘foto’ Not out in the sticks at all! but popular place for many! Wow GM!
