
Florence Dakin and William Cox’s wedding 24 June 1939 – the day before war declared
William Cox, bought up in College Street and Flo in Church Street, before the alms houses were
built. They later moved to Lincoln after the second world war and we
lived in Lincoln for six years,
Flo was involved in the Ammunitions factory, Grantham and later F.W. Woolworths. while Bill joined the RAF
was in the air force Signals. Many of their relatives lived in Grantham and quite a few worked
at the Co op Grantham and Syd Frankish, Bill’s cousin he was bought
up with as his mother died in childbirth in Derbyshire, so his aunt in
College Street bought him u and Richard, who lives in Grantham
knew Barry, one of Syd’s sons. From Susan West
